Start at our base in Ha Giang and follow the loop through mountain passes and village life. With 4 nights along the way, there’s time for the places between the postcards.
DAY 00Bus to Ha Giang
Hanoi, Ha Long, Sapa, Ninh Binh & Cat Ba → Ha Giang City
- Travel to Ha Giang City the day before your tour — the loop starts at around 8:00 AM the next morning.
- We can arrange your bus when you book, with pickup from Hanoi, Ha Long, Sapa, Ninh Binh and Cat Ba. It drops you at Ha Giang Best Choice, our base in the city.
- Free dorm accommodation for all guests that night. Prefer a private room? Book one in the city and meet us at the office in the morning.
DAY 01Ha Giang → Nam Dam
Ha Giang – Bac Sum Pass – Quan Ba Heaven Gate – Twin Mountains – Lung Khuy Cave – Nam Dam Village
Breakfast at the hostel, meet your group and get a short briefing before the adventure begins.
- Stop at Bac Sum Pass for spectacular mountain scenery.
- Visit Quan Ba Heaven Gate, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Ha Giang.
- Photo stop at the famous Quan Ba Twin Mountains.
- Explore Lung Khuy Cave, one of the most impressive caves in Quan Ba.
- Ride winding mountain roads to Nam Dam, a peaceful Dao ethnic village.
- Walk among traditional houses, rice fields and mountains.
- Local dinner and a cozy night with a local family.
DAY 02Nam Dam → Mountain campsite
Nam Dam – Lung Tam Village – Tham Ma Pass – H’Mong King’s Palace – Lung Cu Flag Tower – Mountain Camping
After breakfast, travel deeper into the northern mountains of Ha Giang.
- Visit Lung Tam Village and learn traditional hemp weaving.
- Stop at Tham Ma Pass, a famous viewpoint on the loop.
- Explore the H’Mong King’s Palace (Vuong Family Mansion).
- Continue to Lung Cu Flag Tower for panoramic views.
- Late afternoon arrival at our scenic mountain campsite.
- Dinner around the campfire and a night under the stars.
DAY 03Dong Van, trekking & boat trip
Camping – Dong Van – White Rock King Trek – Mountain BBQ – Boat Trip – Riverside Homestay
Wake up to the peaceful mountain atmosphere at the campsite.
- Breakfast at the campsite.
- Ride to Dong Van through limestone mountains and explore the Old Quarter.
- Scenic trek to White Rock King.
- Freshly prepared BBQ lunch on the mountain.
- Relaxing boat trip along the river.
- Riverside homestay and dinner with your local hosts.
DAY 04Meo Vac → Du Gia
Meo Vac – M-shaped Curve – Sa Li Pass – Lung Ho – Du Gia
Another beautiful day through the more remote areas of the loop.
- Ride through Meo Vac among limestone mountains and deep valleys.
- Stop at the famous M-shaped Curve.
- Cross Sa Li Pass, one of the quieter passes in the region.
- Continue to Lung Ho through small villages and valleys.
- Winding mountain roads to Du Gia and a traditional dinner.
DAY 05Du Gia → Ha Giang
Du Gia Waterfall – Local Villages – Mountain Roads – Ha Giang City
Start your final morning with a refreshing swim at Du Gia Waterfall.
- Swim at Du Gia Waterfall, surrounded by mountains and countryside.
- Breakfast at the homestay before the final ride.
- Ride through small ethnic villages and quiet rural roads.
- Photo stops among traditional houses, rice fields and valleys.
- Arrive back at Ha Giang Best Choice, where the tour ends — relax, shower, or continue your journey.
Arrive the evening before
Your tour begins around 8:00 AM. A free dorm night at our base is available before the tour. We can help arrange transport from Hanoi, Ha Long, Sapa, Ninh Binh or Cat Ba — ask us about bus fares and times.
